I plugged in my triton to the FP midi in and out shirt and it actually improved the sound quality. The latency was alot less.

Whats funny about this thread is that after reading a few replies, I stopped at guitar center to put some money on some stuff I had on layaway, and while I was waiting for my friend to get done with a customer I went to go mess around with some of the synths. There was a couple of kids playing with the Tritons- they were messing with a kit that sounded alot like one that was used in "Grindin'" by Clipse...
"OHHH sh*t- they got neptunes sounds in there!!?? What about Dre? Is the Motif cool?"

"Naw dude, Dre uses MPC's- but I saw some kits on ebay that you can put in the triton. I would get this or the new MPC "
"what's MIDI cuz?"
.... then the other guy said the most brilliant thing I had heard all day- something along the lines of "It's so you can conectimafy these machines together- you gots to expandersize your options here cuz, you know what I'm sayin'?." He looked really serious like he was kicking some true knowledge, and the other kid, the way his face looked all eager while he was listening.

That's when I just couldn't help myself- I just started laughing so hard- really loud. I think the kid was fooling around when he made that last statement cause they both started laughing too.

Instantly made me think about this thread.
