Haha. I'm sorry if I appeared like a dick by directing it to my site. I only will make a couple pennies off this article so that's not the reason I shared this. I just wanted to share some god information. I guess it would've been better for me to add an image instead.

So add the graphic to the OP :)

As far as I'm concerned, it's just a healthy dose of common sense. No secrets or myths, just a long period of smart people playing the ignorance of the common Joe.

Would be cool if people saw this and/or realized it before they went through all the hassle already.

Hmm..interesting and I do agree with most of it. Although with that said, I have come across certain plug ins and presets that often justify the viewpoint that they're the key to success because those sounds are quite literally awesome. I mean, being able to pull good sounds of a semi-shitty synth is truly amazing but you can't deny that having insane presets will definitely save you days even if we're talking about someone using the default soundbank on a Sylenth for all his tracks and another one having access to the latest soundbanks crafted by specialists, even if they're working the same genre. At some point, yes, it can get wasteful when someone who needs only a few brass sounds for his songs has a few million other awesome sounds (that some poor SOB could really use) just lying around collecting virtual dust.
