The M-AUDIO AV 40 are EPIC!

I just hooked up my new speakers. I'm used to having 10 dollar speakers and these completely blow them out of the water. A night and day difference.

What was the first set of speakers that blew you away?

P.S. I'm not using a sound card. What would be the performance increase with an m-box?

my hs80s were a big step up from my old dell/sub combo, tracks i thought were ok on the dells sounded like crap on the 80s. before that i just plugged my pc into a hifi.
