The bleep/bloop/beep type synth sound?

You know the type of synth sound thats like a one shot that sounds like a beep/or bloop or something. It can be found in the songs Dr. Dre - Forgot About Dre and Twista - Drinks

I can't upload a clip of those songs because I am at work but in the Dre song its right at about the 4th bar before the beat hits and the Twista song is the melody. I know the Twista song .. the synth patch is a patch from the Triton because I found it in there but what is the actual name of these type of synths and how do I make em with like what type of wave? Or is this just a preset thing? I am a preset guy but to get these type of sounds I'll create from scratch if I have to. Thanks in advance
 
Nope .. it seems to be like a one shot synth sound. Like it's only like for a second. Check twista's song drinks
 
you mean sort of electronic sqweeks and bleeps? that have an attack? try taking good bass synths and playing a good 4 octaves higher... or load a tone into Kontakt...
