Since I have been hearing tons of bad stuff about HollywoodDJ.com I decided to do a section on "The best Online Dj Shops."

I needed a new story anyway for my site, and this way I can help someone out.. Fortunately I've had good experiences with the stores I've done business with, I'll separate the "review" into two sections, the good and the ugly.

Anymore bad experiences/good experiences would be welcome in this thread and I may quote some of you if thats ok. THANKS

never heard a bad thing about or had a bad experience with www.pssl.com . stuff gets to me quick and with no problems. also they price match stuff from other stores so u still get the low prices on 123dj.com. their shipping is very reasonable if your buying heavy items as they charge by the cost of the item and not the weight. hope this helps.

JanR is extremely professional and delivery to house took less than 2 days..normal..I was like DAMN..that was fast. Even if there price isn't the lowest call them and tell them, if you do find a lower advertised price..and on the phone they match it happily..and there u go.

123dj - Very low prices..high selection. problem..stuff is not in stock, sometimes..

Feel I need to mention the excellent service I got from www.onestopdjshop.co.uk (for you UK residents out there).

I ordered a pair of Ortofon Concorde DJ-S over the web for delivery to my office and got an email back saying that they were out of stock and that delivery would be delayed.

I explained that I needed the stuff sent ASAP as I'm in Malaysia and that someone from the home office was coming out here in a weeks time and can bring the goods over.

The brilliant guy at onestop said that he didn't have any but has a pair of Concorde Scratch and gave them to me for the same price! :D

How about if ur on a place like Asia? Just like me. What's the best on-line store for me?
 
Can't help you on that one, bud.

Firstly there are some draconian countries like Malaysia that charge a massive 40% import tax so you're not going to get stuff cheap by mailorder (legally). ;)

Secondly, a lot of mail order companies do not accept credit cards from asian countries due to the large amounts of credit card fraud going on. :(

I have a UK credit card and get my stuff sent to the London office and wait for someone coming out here to bring it to me. It sucks but is better than not getting it at all...
 
stuff from pssl is usually packaged in two boxes with an excessive ammount of padding. There's no way it's gonna get damaged, and it doesn't cost any more to ship because they go by the price of the item. :)

theres only 2 places i buy my stuff... pssl.com or guitar center, by the way they are having a sale on sl-1200m3d for $399 until sunday:D
 
Audiolines!

I'm from BC Canada, and bought my 1200's and a vestax mixer from Audiolines and they were awesome! Good, fast shipping, good service. Shipping and duty etc. was a lot cheaper than I expected too.

Can't go wrong with them!
