Has anybody used both products, and how do they compare?

I know that the installation process for East West Pianos is annoying because it contains 35 dvds, but I am more interested in the sound of both programs, and which one sounds more realistic.

Thanks

Synth ivory sounds the most realistic but imo to real to make tracks with except for maybe a piano ballad. Eastwest gives you realism but also sits well in a mix.

I have East West Bossendorfer but my system won't run it properly yet. Can't wait to get this baby going!

I OWN EASTWEST PIANO'S AND IVORY

BOTH ARE GREAT PIANO'S BUT EASTWEST HAS BETTER SOUNDING PIANO'S. EASTWEST Bossendorfer IS A BEAST. THE ONLY PROBLEM WITH EAST IS THAT ITS A CPU HOG IF U DONT HAVE A A Quad Core PROCESSOR I SAY DONT TOUCH.

I got the Goliath for free which comes with Bosendofer 290 and Grand piano THEY SOUND GREAT! I also have True Pianos, they are cheap but they sound realistic than a mugg and if you want that get either one and you will be straight. I don't need another piano ever.

I like true pianos. Not a huge plug-in but sounds amazing. I like EastWest stuff too but you have to do more to it such as eq and reverb to get that really nice sound.

Co-sign on the True Piano... I think they sound real clean, so you might want to take a peep at that.

re: compare Synthoghy Ivory with East West Pianos

Ivory pianos sound great, but I choose to use them almost exclusively because they feel much, much better than the East West Pianos.

East West Pianos for some applications do sound far better than the Ivory pianos, but you have to use the full versions of the pianos to realize the superiority. Otherwise they kind of get that Kurzweil out-of phase sound. However, they still feel clunky to play compared to the feathery Ivory feel.

i.e. I don't think it would be possible to do a piano track on any other piano plug-in - and then have it played (even close to the original performance) on the East West Pianos. (I use a Yamaha Motif.)

They have only a few adjustments you can make, so I'm fairly sure it's not operator error. They seem to need to have a better pianist doing the programming.

The East West sounds are amazing, but I hope they upgrade the playability of the Plug-in.

I would still recommend buying it. It's quite an amazing product.

They also have a 50% deal every once in a while on it.
