Whenever i try opening downloaded flps or any other project files than mine my fl studio can't seem to locate where the Sylenth 1 plugin is located. Even though I have it installed in (D:)/Program files/Fl studio/vsti plugins. This happens for a few other plugins also, but not nexus. Can anyone help me? :(

Tell us what DAW u are on. What computer? 64-bit etc.

Normally the plugins are a single .dll file you have to put in the data/plugins folder inside FL Studio folder. Then, when you open Fl Studio, in the same menu you choose the plugins, you need to select the "more" option, and refresh (located at the bottom of the list). Normally the new plugins will be located and will appear in red.

I know all of that stuff! haha :P Maybe i didnt make myself clear enough: The plugin is in the correct folder and works perfectly fine, but when i open downloaded project files that someone else made FL Studio can't seem to locate Sylenth 1 and no sounds are coming from that channel. But the midi and everything is in the channel.

If you're opening projects someone else made, it could be that they have sylenth named something else in their VST folder, pay attention to the little search bar and see what its looking for and then make sure your sylenth has the same name.

Does anyone know how FLP files refer to 3rd party plugins? I wouldn't be surprised if they pointed to a specific, absolute folder rather than trying to find the matching plugin - Nexus probably installs in its own custom folder, which is probably the same for most people - and which is why it works in this scenario. Just guessing here.
