Sub Lowpass Cutoff (KRK 10s)

Forgive me if i posted this in the wrong spot i'm new to the forum life :)

Anyway i just added a new 10s sub to my studio running with a pair of Krk Rokit 8s. Is there a rule of thumb on what i should set my cutoff to or has anyone had the same setup in a less then perfect treated room that could give me some advice. I bought the sub with a bypass switch so i can switch out and hear at times whats going on in the low end of my mix but i have a feeling if i don't set my cutoff correctly i could have a more inaccurate low end then what i'm already dealing with. Any advice would be great.

Thanks ;)

I'd go with a higher cutoff, a bit more accurate and the last thing you want in a small room is overlapping low-end freq's from your speakers.
