come on guys. its the simplest sound to make.

insert 3XOSC
turn the OSC 2 vol right down
turn the OSC 3 vol right down
click MISC.
increase Polyphony To 1

thats it.

if you want to make more of an 808 style bass:

click INS
click VOL
click the square on the left of TIME
turn the ATT right down
turn the release up to somewhere around 10-12 o'clock

i just use ReFX Nexus....essentially in the manner of layering like crown vic.....

just use the bass presets for Basic Sine,Basic Triangle, and Basic Square.........layer them, play notes in the C3 To C4 region....and theres a great sub.

or i take a sub preset, similar to the one Light put, except slightly different, then eq it.

Simple enough.

I noticed people who make it "look easy" or say "death to presets" dont make good beats.

I'm not sure why the blind leads the blind on the internet, among producers, but a DECENT sine patch isn't the death of music.

Have this forum tell it, Dirty South music would of died in 2007!

So if you want good bass for the music that's relevant, use presets..

because it IS INDEED preset BASED music.

This isn't Flying Lotus, Daft Punk, Air, or Scrillex

This is 2 chord playing, soundfont orchestra using, fake nord lead having, BOOMING 808 trunk thumping music.

Make sure you adjust your Envelopes and Cutoffs

It's pretty easy to make a good sub bass in 3x Osc. Just go look up a tutorial or two.
