So basically, I have a Mxl 990 and that's what i've been recording on. I am looking to upgrade to one of these. They will mostly be used for Rap Vocals and some singing, acoustic guitar, trumpet, etc. I record through a Lexicon Lambda and it's built in Pre Amps, and I use Sonar X2. I know that isn't the best equipment, and those aren't the best mics, but my recordings always sound pretty damn good. Also, you can recommend other Mics, but only for the same price as these two ($100-$120). Also I don't mind if the mics are "colored" as long as they sound good lol
