Wow... I honestly hate to say, this, but I've heard a Royce Da 5 9 track with this sample, I know a local cat (Portland, OR) who did a trakc with the same sample, and I think it might have actually came from a movie, am I wrong?

And yes, education pays off, no matter if you're self taught (reading books, manuals, guides, etc) or went to school.
It all helps, but so does actually doing working with equipment and software... Hands on, and thats where education from a school really counts.
