Stanton STR8-60/80's .vs. Numark Pro TT series and Gemini PT series

Hi i am new to DJing and wanted some advice from you ppl that DJed longer than i

i wanted to know, since i am only an 11th grader in highschool, i dont got much cash
after wading throught dj sites and forums i concluded of getting the Stanton PlatinumPak
with STR8-80's now is that descent for me ? to skratch and gain experience on ? over
Numark Pro TT2/1+/1
Gemini PT series
Omnitronic DD series
Numark Pro TT100. ?

pls write back this is kinda important
 
ok here it goes, i finally concluded of getting the
Stanton Platinum Pak, since the Skratch Pak didnt come with the descent "mixer" so i wanted to get the platinum pak instead, but one question, i was looking for it all over the web, for the platinum pakage but seems like no vendor has them, can n-e one help me find those in descent price and maybe a list of vendors that has them ? thanx i appreciate it

Hey man, I know that Guitar Center has them on right now for $799, regular like 1250 or something. Thats about all the info I know, but its a good price.

I just picked up the Numark Phat Pak with TT100's and the 1001 ex mixer. I have to say that I am quite pleased with it. It is very reliable and the whole system, including speakers, was only about $600.

how is your platinum pak mixer on back order? everything is boxed together in one big box! curious about this one, sounds like they may be scamming.
 
I believe the turntables can be used for different things, and have different characteristics, it depends on your preference, the str-80's i believe are excellent for srcratching but I have heard the Numark pro-tts are also good.......:)
 
If u have an option go for the tt2's or the 2410's from gemini over the 8-80's. they are more expensive than the 8-80's and have more torque. I have the 8-'s and they are pretty sweet ! :)
 
listen, if you live in california, or anywhere near the west coast, check out this store, pro sound and stage lighting. http://www.pssl.com they have good deals on everything you want. i have used them for everything i have and would recomend them to anyone. check it out, peace
 
Tricky is right. Str8-80s are god if you don't have a lot of money, but if you can take te hurt, buy better decks.
