Speakers for Production

I am buying myself some speakers for production, and i have a budget of about 150-300$ only as im a student. What would you recommend?

Yamaha HS50m. Buy them new on ebay...sort by price, You'll save $100 off retail. When you get $350 more, buy the sub for them (HS10) These are one of the most accurate models on the market. AudioFanzine has good reviews on it.

Do you already have a decent stereo speaker amp/reciever? You can get a decent pair of passive monitors/speakers in that pricerange. Powered, you're gonna get something you'll completely replace and discard the second you can afford to.
