Can anyone help me out with placement of Foam on walls of my room? Should it be on the wall that is closest to my studio monitors or other places? Does it vary much depending on the shape/size of the room? I'm not looking to be perfect, just want to get a good small start and build up from there as time goes on...

You should place it at your first reflection points and any extra should be used higher up on walls where you can get rid of flutter echo.
