I recently finished "Dedicated Freak". Its supposed to be a Hype beat. Like a Travis Porter/Roscoe Dash type beat. I need to know how it came out.

How is the mix?

i like this beat! only thing i didn't like was the triangle, maybe use something else there or make it sound smoother and not so harsh to the ear you know. but other than that, great work!

 

[Kontrol]

Only "suggestion" I would have is play with the release ever so slightly on the snare. Maybe a tad down. But then again this is opinion/curious based.

I really like it! Props on the young age as well.

- I think you almost achieved what you were going for with the Travis Porter type sound
- Instrumentation/melodies are on point
- The kick is really weak -- turn it up in the mix
- I think overall the mix could be improved but not sure how
- Maybe add some transition tom/snare rolls
- I think you couldve chose a more authentic brass sound (when it comes in the hook)

Felt like the lead synth was abit too over powering in your mix when it came in. You did a good job structuring this, nice little build ups and all that shizz.

Yo this sounds pretty tight, all the sounds on point. Probably just me but Id a little more bass, maybe make the snares a tad quieter.
