Saving programs in cubase?

So I have cubase to play my VST's in but I will record something in lets say massive and then I will close cubase and then I come back the next day and it will forget what setting or what sound I had chosen and it will default to a default sine wave. Is there anyway to make cubase remember what preset or sound patch you had selected so when you close and open again, it will still be there?
