Sampling with Reason using Recycle and NN-XT

Hey guys!
I'm new to this site and this will be my first question of thousands to come.
As stated in the title, I've been trying to chop up samples and got the hang of it, but when I play them in NN-XT with release all the way up, the sample plays but echos and lingers at the end of the sample. Is there a way to make it so that it just cuts off clean when the sample is done playing? Thanks!

This is a setting in Recycle. I believe it's called the "Envelope". It's the third column down from the top of the screen and it has a parameter knob called "Stretch" this stretch parameter is what is giving you that sound. By default this parameter is set at 40%...the lower this value is the less of the effect you'll hear. You can completely turn this off by clicking the button on the left in this "Envelope" section. Hope this helps :)
