Sampled some Miles Davis today. check it out, feedback welcome

Used FL Studio 11 and my Akai MPK mini. Made this in about 2 hours. not really a complete beat, but I'm more so focusing on getting better at mastering/sampling/effects to make my beats sound fuller. feedback encouraged in that area!

I think you're off to a good start with this. I like the piano line you have rolling throughout as well as the jazzy drums. Now I just think more elements could be added on top. Maybe think about chopping up Miles' trumpet playing in interesting ways, or adding your own strings on top. I think it's more fitting to keep the drums low-key in order to sustain that mellow vibe you have here. I could also see another sample be incorporated in here, perhaps a chill, pitched-down vocal sample. Just a few ideas.
