well, I don't doubt you 100% (because this sample does have a similar vibe and similar drums) but I can't identify a significant similarity between this Stylistics track and the sample used in the Jeezy joint. I've run the shit outta the Jeezy track, heard it 1000 times over and I just don't hear it. But then again, I COULD BE WRONG TOO.

If it is the sample, i wonder how the hell Don Cannon flipped it how he did. Thanks for the response though brother.

Say bruh, did you ever get around to finding that snare/rim shot? I'm still searching the web for something like that, or even the snare/rim shot the J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League used in Maybach Music 2 (there's a possibility that's a live-recorded snare but still). Keep me posted g!

I dont know what snare in particular they used, but it sounds like two snares stacked (one pitched slightly higher than the other). They stutter the 1st snare of the 1st bar, and place a quick two snare roll at the turn-around of the 4th bar. I've managed to painstakingly program that drumline in Reason, or a close approximation.

yeah you have a good ear. that's exactly whats being done. and if you listen when the sample is solo'd near the end of the song, there's a snare included in the sample, adds a bottom end to the snares you mentioned.

I'm really looking for a snappy rim shot like the one (two) layered on top, if you catch my drift. i have a huge collection of sounds man. still havent gotten my hands on a rim shot that I really **** with. This one sounds nearly live, and possibly stereo-ized in some way. I know somebody on this forum can look out for me.

sidenote: still looking for a sample ID on this Hood Politics track.
