I was on the Harry Fox website and it said that it doesn't do sample clearance, so my question is what would be the best way of going about getting clearance? Is there some kind of standard form where you can contact the copyright holders and the writers or do you just have to write to the publisher?

nobody knows?

You need the Publishers permission

AND

The record companies permission.

It's gonna cost you money though.........if they agree at all.......

yea I know about that

if you sample you need to clear with the writer and with the copyright holder, if you just replay you only need to clear with the writer but I was looking if there was some industry standard method, or you just make a phone call

if you sample you need to clear it with all writers Publishing Company and the Recod Label as they own the masters..

every Publishing Company should have a sample clearance form to contact them for clearance..if you you might want to choose a sample clearance company
