Routing to a mix bus.

Hey FutureProducers this is my first post but I hope to be a very contributing member.

I have an engineering problem that I can't understand what's happening or the correct way to solve it. I will create a reverb bus for my drums and send everything to the track. I keep the wet volume at 100%, but the problem is that the volume on everything raises and I was wondering if this is something I'm doing wrong, or something that needs to be dealt with by turning the fader down on every track or just the bus fader.

Well, depending on the nature of the reverb, a part of the effected sound will be more or less similar to the original - thus the perceived overall volume will rise. Just drop the return track (reverb bus) volume to compensate.
