Rob Swift Departs From X-ecutioners, Two New DJ's Added
By Nolan Strong
Date: 10/5/2004 5:20 pm

Turntable group The X-ecutioners changed their lineup, adding two new DJ’s, while DJ Rob Swift has departed the group after 7 years to concentrate on solo projects.

Grandmaster Roc Raida and DJ Total Eclipse will be joined by new members DJ Boogie Blind and DJ Precision in the new group, marking the first time group has operated as a four-man collective since the departure of group member Mista Sinista.

Boogie Blind, who hails from Harlem, New York, DJ’s for Pharoahe Monch and is the 2000 Vestax DJ World Extravaganza.

DJ Precision hails from Queens, New York and is the 2002 Allies All-Star Beatdown World Champion and a protégé of Rob Swift, who are both members of the New York crew The Lo Lives.

The group’s spoksesperson said the split was amicable, but immediate and that Swift would not appear at any promotional engagements for their latest album, Revolutions.

I don't know man. The X-Men without Rob Swift just isn't going to be the same. Bummer.....

yeah.. rob swift is and was the one that held them together

I dont really know the
X-ecutioners that well...but I thought rob swift was why they where so popular...infact he is the only Dj I knew in the X-ecutioners other then Roc Raida

built from scratch was cool, revolutions was a disappointment though
a lot of the tracks reminded me of that d4mn mitsubishi commercial...

I liked rob swift, then again i like all the X. There are always going to be hardcore fans that wont like to give the new djs in X-cutioners a chance...i say cut the new guys some slack :)

I never really was a fan of Rob Swift as much as I was of the other members. My respect level for him really went down though after playing on some of the same bills as them. On one occasion we really bumped heads after he broke my mixer while performing. I wouldn't have had a problem with it if he wouldn't have been gloating about it. He was like "Hey,Rreal....here's your mixer!!!" He was pointing to it and laughing. The crossfader was totally mangled and had been pushed down into the mixer causing the screws to strip out. He didn't even offer an apology or I'll get you another fader or anything. Basically he just tried to walk away but I stopped his ass and was like "YO!!! I KNOW you got another crossfader or mixer on you somewhere!!!You're sponsored by Vestax!!!" From there it got ugly as we started yelling and cursing at each other!!! LOL Sinister was actually trying to pull me away(he was still with them at the time) Then Q their manager at the time tried to get involved. But that didn't help cause he was on Rob's side talking about that they were'nt responsible, which I understood but it was just the principle of it all. Reverse the roles and I'm quite sure they woulda been after me to replace it. Anyway I just walked away from it realising that his OWN crew mate Sinister had just told me that Rob was an arrogant azzhole!!! Imagine that!!! Ahhhhh.....the memories.

LOL....Hmmmm, I didn't even think about that!!! That woulda been funny.

never really found rob swift any good,
75% of "the ablist" is complete crap.

there's a lot of him talking about trying to do something different, and maybe a bit of respect for that, but what he does "differently" is different because its sh*t.
