Rihanna got the big debut everyone expected for her new album Unapologetic. The album sold 238,000 copies according to Nielsen SoundScan, giving the singer her biggest 1st week sales ever, earning the Bajan beauty her very first No. 1 album on theBillboard 200 chart according to Billboard.

The 24-year old superstar celebrated the good news with her 26 million Twitter followers.

Nicki Minaj's Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded - The Re-Up moved 34,501 copies according to HitsDailyDouble

Minaj blamed the low sales total on three of the nations biggest retailers.

"It is hard to get the album because the stores basically said that the last few re-releases they had put out did not do well and they didn't want to take a chance," she said in a recent appearance The Breakfast Club. "So, Target and Walmart is not selling the album. Target is actually my biggest retailer -- they've always been my biggest retailer. They've sold the most Nicki Minaj albums ever, so, thank you, Target. But I wish you could've sold this one."

As for Best Buy, the retailer "only took limited [quantities] because they're like 'Oh we don't know, we want to play it safe,' so it's very difficult and it kind of sets you up to fail," she said, adding that some of her fans "have been driving hours, literally hours, to get one CD. But it is what it is, and I appreciate the support, and I'm excited about the music."

Walmart spokesperson Veronica Marshall told Spin.com that they would would have carried the album had Nicki offered an edited version, which she did not.

"We do not carry any music that has a parental advisory label on it," said Marshall. "However, we carry edited versions of those music titles. That album did not come with an edited option, so that's why Walmart isn't carrying that album."

She grew up with an abusive father, now she reunite with a abusive stranger

I have zero respect for this woman

^ a little off topic don't ya think? lol can't say I blame her though. It's a pretty commonplace psychological thing for people with abusive parents to attract mates with abusive tendencies. It's typically indicative of a subconscious attempt to conquer it or find validation

as for her sales, good for her.

correction: I can say I blame her, but I won't judge her like that

On the subject of Nicki, she probably should've never released this re-up thing. It's too much. She should've just made Roman Reloaded a quality album to start with.

Seems like Nicki likes to blame people.
Walmart gave their reasons.
The other day she was calling Steven Tyler a racist.
Hopefully her 15 mins will be open

Pink Friday is still being released? that came out almost 2 years ago didn't it?

Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded was her official 2nd album I think, and then she dropped this random "re-up" derived from Roman Reloaded. Not sure what her reasoning is though

Squeeze as much as you can out of one album. Get money other places. An icon now. Diva. For a little bit.

Vanilla Ice...........rappers need to learn from that guy. Forget the hip hop love....it's for losers...straight up.

It's not surprising She released the same album 3 times. The sales are gonna drop if you do that. She def would've done better if instead she came out with a brand new album. Hell even a little ep would've been a good idea

That's what I don't understand. Is that the trend re-releasing stuff

She didn't release the same album 3 times. Sales won't drop. Her first 2 albums went platinum according to Wiki. Of course this re-release won't sell like the other albums.
