When it reaches to the point that you have to come out of your show pocket in order to fund your own project and also get support from non-musical corporations the whole purpose of a major label system is just about obsolete. When your paying like that your suppose to have your own label situation with the majors being used for distribution only while you maintain copyright/master copy ownership. If Rihanna is suppose to be one of the leading examples of 'new success' in the business then you know its really over
