im never signing a deal unless i get a lawyer and revise the contract line to line....people end up being greedy and end up with nothing...seems like u would make more money promoting urself and doing local shows...its like hustlin cut the middle man out and maximize....these artists arent as smart if they fall sucker for these contracts...espeicailly the ones with alot of talent...and shame on the labels that dont pay what is owed to these artist...if i make multi millions and all i got to show for it is 20,000 somebody gotta die or would be in for a serious beat down lol

Co-Sign b/c i live by the motto that you can only be taken advantage of if you allow it 2 happen. Stay on top of your sh*t business wise people.

that sucks. some ppl end up growing broke for fame. don't really know how true this is, although this kind of stuff happens all the time so i wouldn't be surprised if it was.
 
Dang. This is messed up. She should be able to negotiate a better deal once her contract is up. She's really popular right now so in the long run she'll be ok.
