I've watched 4-5 videos from GFID and they all pretty much stink. Ashamed got placed on WS last week. The video has absolutely nothing to do with the lyrics. The song is about coming up, pushing, having a top crew, etc and being ashamed of all the dirt he's done. Just forget about if hes real of fake. Let's just assume that he's 100% real with the lyrics and concept. The video is him rapping in a jacuzzi, some lame stripper standing next to him, and Ross in some ridiculous jerseys.

Now go watch Trap Back Jumpin from TI. The video goes hand in hand with the lyrics. Go watch Addresses from TI; same shit. Go watch Jeezy's Vacation...same shit.

All of Ross's videos are just him rapping on a boat, around strippers or in a garage. The videos have absolutely nothing to do with the songs. His music is good...dude is a great song writer/lyricist, the beats are dope, but the videos are just lacking.

I agree.

They are all exactly like that and i think this is because he has an inhouse video guy to shoot all his videos.

They look extremely amateur.

This just doesn't apply to Rick "The Rapper" Ross but rappers in general. This hasn't just started. This has been going on in Hip-Hop for years. Not only do music videos don't coincide with the lyrics in the songs but all the videos look the same. Same cameos, same females, same cars, same house, same . . . you get the idea.

lol at everytime this fat clown is mentioned someone has to put "forget for a min if hes fake or real"

This dude sucks at rapping.

I'm tired of people saying he's good, he's so terrible just stop.

Rick Ross is one of the hottest rappers in the game and has been for a long time and as producers instead of criticizing rappers video's you should a unbiased mind frame in this industry and you should be trying to figure how can you get your music to Rick Ross so he can shoot a video with nothing to do the song to one of your tracks and for the record Ross does have lyrics and its a whole lot of mainstream rappers thats way sh*tter than Ross and make way sh*tter videos than Ross plus Ross got in-house video directors so the videos you are probably talking about probably wouldn't even been shot with Warner Bros budget so take it as a bonus and be happy.

So what if we criticize it, we are all music consumers and don't necessarily have to agree with everything someone is doing.

I like Ross, dude is hot right now, but let's call it how it is...he has bland videos.

You can literally grab the last 10 Rick Ross videos and they involve him with his shirt open, couple of broads, jewelry and cars.

No direction, no theme, no concepts, nothing.

If you saw one Ross video, you saw them all.

I don't blame him though.

When budgets go down you have nothing more to do than hire amateurs with cheap cameras.

Man i miss those Hype William days.

My nigga it's not the best decision to criticize shit if you can't do what he is doing or do better than what he is doing because i can criticize you and say Ross got the money to make 1000

of the same videos over and over but you can't even make one as half as good as his.See it's easy to criticize a nigga playing ball averaging 10-15 baskets a game

while you riding the bench but when the coach put you out there and you can't make 2 baskets that's a bad look.Instead of criticizing and analyzing everybody and

everything how bout you make a thread motivating and up-lifting people.Make a thread about who got good videos and who got A-1 professional directors because

being broke sitting around typing on future producer forums about people that is rich and put a lot of work in the game make you look real bad, insecure, jealous, and lame as fuk and

this ain't no dick riding shit this just some real nigga advice

I dont think his videos are necessarily that horrible compared to his peers but I do agree they are all kind of looking the same, weird that he works with absolutely nobody else other than his in house team.

This video was actually good... The concept went with the lyrics. But the rest of his shit is horrible

Yeah it has gotten to the point that we definitely notice the budgets have dropped to near zero to make these videos. It's sad because there are still artists who spend less and make much better videos. It would be an interesting experiment if a big artist employed one of these YouTube personalities to do there video. So yeah the problem is with his vision and his in house team.

Although its not like his fan base is the market really checking for music video quality. There just place holders like those generic cereal commercials. It's just like cheerios taking time out to say HEY IM HERE! BUY MY PRODUCT. I HAVE ALL THE IMAGES THAT MY MARKET TEST SAID STIMULATED YOU!
