Props to OFF for this thread!

Locoleb: rewire is seful f you would like to use two programs at once in order to create, edit, or mix a track. For example, as far as I know you can not record live using hardware in reason but you can in pro tools. So if you want to use the refills in reason and your synth/keyboard in one track, rewire makes this possible. Hope that helps. Props again to OFF for the helpful thread.

Man i still do not understand how to do this i went thru those instuctiones like 12 times i dont get how you bus the aux track to the audio track can someone help im usin fl 8 and pro tools 8.

good info, i wanna try this. sum 1 needs to make a video of how to do it or a pdf.

This post was pretty helpfull it is pretty much done how I thought it was done with pro tools but the description that was osted for tracking out to cubase seemed easier and more efficient. Is this the case, is it easier and more efficient to track my beats out through cubase than it is pro tools. Any help is greatly appreciated.

after i set everything up for rewire it works fine until i have to go back to protools then i have to close fl for the protools session to open then i can't get back to fl. I need to know how to have both windows open?

I just had the same issue yesterday, I was using Protools 7.4 and Fl Studio 5. I think the issue was Fl Studio because i upgraded to Fl Studio 9 and it gave me 2 windows(before it opened Fl Studio in the same window as Protools and I was never able to go back to Fl Studio).

Now the issue I'm having now is recording. As soon as I press record it crashes. Have anyone been able to get this to work properly? and what versions are you using?

Noob question:

Why would you need to export a beat from FL to Pro Tools when you can already mix/master the beat with FL alone?

i wish i could jus use pro tools alone, that way i can jus edit the beat and vocals at the same time, and make new adjustments, i have 7.4 le and have yet to update to 8 with the midi editor, that would make things alot easier seeing that im not the best recording live unless i can edit after doing so. but im gettin ok but not the best.

Hello FP, I'm a new user, first time post, and sure I'll be using this site from now on, my first question obviously applies to rewire, I'm using FL9 and have it rewired into Sonar 8, however I'm not clear on how to record it directly into Sonar the way its described in this thread. With Sonar you can only create audio and midi, no aux tracks, so can anyone give me some details on how to record it directly into Sonar via rewire? Appreciate any help I can get thanks!
