Does anyone know if I'll need a DI box and/or external preamp to record guitar and bass into my Motif 6, or can I just plug straight into the A/D inputs?
The bass I'm getting has active pickups, so I dont need a preamp for the bass, but the guitar has passive pickups.
So will I need a DI for both, but just a preamp for the guitar, or neither?

I got the answer, and yes you can record without needing a DI or ext preamp for future reference.
