Any books for newbies looking to start producing hip hop beats or beats in general. Must be beginner level please?
 
the art of mixing helped me step my game up 1000 percent after that it was about learning the daw i use in and out and also the plugins and au plugins that i use once you learn what everything does you will be amazed at what you can do just my 2 cents tho
 
the mark levine 'jazz theory' book is also great for understanding harmony
 
The sciene of getting rich by wallace d wattles is a great book to read!

I would recommend that you read "The Music Business Handbook and Career Guide" by David Baskerville and Tim Baskerville.

If you want a casual, yet inspirational & informative read; check out Rick Rubins:In The Studio. It shares his experiences working with a variety of artists and his journey.

Also, Pharrell has a new book out called "Places and Spaces I've Been". Should be an eventful read.
