ram upgrade mpc 500 - it wont startup....

I have just installed a crucial 256 mb 144-pin SODIMM 32MX64 PC133 on my mpc 500, but when i hit the powerbutton "mpc startup" shows in the display, and nothing happens. Why is it like this? It is the right ram and everything....

If i take out the ram then the mpc starts up like normal, but as soon as i insert it, it cant start up....

Yes, i found out that it was due to the brand: Crucial. So now everyone knows NOT to buy them.

Science: i found the one you are talking about on amazone, its on its way to my mailbox.

It seems that ONLY a few brands work: I live in norway, and ram is difficult to obtain here. I've tried many different ram upgrades, and until now none has worked. Check the tread on the akai forum if you are thinking of upgrading!
