Peace Wals I agree with you and Seco, you are both right Seco just do you and make that hot ish :)

when it comes to RnB especially ballads, I am glad I have the talent to play the piano and chords yada yada and know how to arrange and put certain instruments in certain places and give it a progressive feel. I wouldn't sample from crate digging for that type of music. Now HipHop/RnB track that's totally different because it say "HipHop/RnB" not just RnB. You are basically combinding the two, so I would add a little sample here or there to give it flava. If you are talking about straight up RnB nah I wouldn't add samples to it because that's the essences of that just like the essence of hiphop tracks are sampling. If you can make a hiphop track without samples then that's all good :) then you don't have to pay credit nor monies to the publishers who own the rights :)

truth. yeh, for r&b 99.9% of the time i'm not gonna sample, cuz it's not necessary and i have the want to learn more and more musically...i wanna be on that rodney jerkins **** someday...if i DO sample in the case of r&b, it's because the synths which i own limit me 2 thinks which i could only get with live instruments or samples...like acoustic guitar or brass....you can get those wit synths...but its no tthe same, the energy is not there and i don't have a damn band at my disposal so in that case i'll opt 2 sample. yup,lol.
 
Yeah, the person who did that Avant remix a couple of weeks ago, needs to be in this.
