I use desktops but when I save up I'm gettin a mpc if I ever find one with 24-32bitdepth for mobile.
I wonder if those have synthesizers though.
Then again a laptop is kinda like both an mpc and a desktop but at the same time you'd need an a/i etc.
Tough decision. Nevermind desktop+mpc combo it is.

I have both. Desktop, krk 5, korg padkontrol, cakewalk a500 pro, alesis q88, novation remote zero sl mkI, echo gina 3g. That mostly used for home production. Then I have a stand that holds the alesis and a novation impulse. The novation impulse is for on the road. I then take a tascam us 100, EWI, headphones, laptop, padkontrol and some other loose stuff for being mobile. You have some pretty nice bags that can carry most of your equipment as well.
Like the magma riot bag.
