Quick question about using MP3 instead of WAV to mix.

Hello guys, I'm currently making a mixtape and I dont want to spend money on beats so I'm currently taking free mp3 beats that I can find on youtube. I know its better to use WAV beats but I was wondering if it was possible to make a really good quality song using a MP3 beat. My question in fact is: how big of a difference does it make? Thanks guy!

Depends on how shitty the quality is to begin with - on YouTube, it's pretty shitty.

To the average listener, there probably won't be a huge noticeable difference (dependant upon the bit rate ). To those who work with audio or have had a chance to listen to the original uncompressed audio, the difference might be noticeable.

well the type of quality of the beat I was getting is that type: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zSmDOc3qzB8 in the description of the video the guy has a website that we can download the beat, do you think the quality is better there?
