This is an interesting topic because back in the Hypersonic 1 days, there was a company called Wizoo (Now owned or something by Digidesign) that made extra sound modules for Hypersonic) They were sold separately as addons. When Hypersonic 2 came out, it shipped with "demo" versions of these "hypermodules". A funny thing happened. The "demos" just kept right on working. I think I was the first person to point this out. Then everyone else began to chime in that it seems like some went wrong and these demos are actually fully working modules. So far, they're still working and Steinberg has never answered why, and has since completely lost control of Hypersonic altogether to Digidesign.

So, to answer your question, yes Hypersonic absolutely does have new sounds. It has a range of brand new HS2 sounds which are clearly marked as "HS2". PLUS the the US-1 Ultrasynth, GP-2 Grand Piano, and the NB-3 Tonewheel Organ hypermodules. So, there are tons of new sounds. I'm not sure how much of the FX are new though. All the sounds are really good with the exception of the guitars I would say.

I think one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made with music tools is that I bought both Hypersonic 1 and 2, and it took me a couple years before I decided to start digging deeper into it. I'm realizing that this one thing is 85% of my sound generation needs. It's a beast of a synth and a real shame that Steinberg has completely lost control of it. There's almost no chance that there will ever be a HS3, or further development of HS2.

you must of downloaded it and didnt buy it.... because it clearly has a TON of new sounds

If your HS2 has the same sound has HS1, it's because you need to uninstall both. After you do that, install HS2 only.
