I like the beat, but it sounds kind of empty. It's mixed at a lower volume than my tastes, but I like my mixes quiet anyway, people can always turn it up. As far as percussion, I like the hi hat/snare patterns, and I like the kick too but it sounds faint in comparison. The harmony/melody has a nice ambiance and all the melodic lines are good, I just think it's missing something. Perhaps some different sounding instrumentation, maybe something more staccato to inject some energy.

However overall I like the beat I could definitely see a lyrical flow over it
