you can

im aware of that I guess i just misunderstood the question. When they said one sound per pad I thought they literaly mean that. I never got into banks in software did with my mpc but dont see the point of going into deep banks in Reason

Like I said earlier I would of prefered banks because then it would make each instance of kong more manageable, it isn't a huge deal because at least you have the combinator as kb pointed out.

now fl studio is going to release 9.5... by 2012 they will have fl studio 12

I hate having to open Recycle just to chop. I can record a sample, time stretch it, chop it by hand, or even chop it "Rex" style all in Live. It's hard to beat the ability to do all of that in ONE program.

You can do that now all in Reason+Record. :) The chop it "Rex" style is kinda different though(coz it would look like making multiple copies of samples on the Launch Clips in Live and set their markers.) :) But still, it's still easy.

ok...so where exactly does Logic fit in to your workflow???

Logic as in reasoned, critical thinking mental acuity in proper form and function, or Logic as in the Mac platform DAW?

I always use the former, both inductively and deductively, But I never use the latter.

i dont mind the dongle so much anymore if it means keeping prices reasonable. the less dongles we see the higher prices get.

Yeah, dongles are no big deal...and even it is not always needed if you have internet access. The Propellerhead dongle isn't as obtrusive as an iLok key.

just know someone is going to make the mpc patch with note repeat and everything with kong

Oh and about Kong, if you pair it with Redrum, you'll now have a sequencer for you drums and samples. It's really fun to play with, or sketch some ideas.

Why not just include a step sequencer in it, maybe theres more routing possibilities the way they have it now?

You know whats so bad people have all these features yet todays music sucks lol. But anyway to danoc yeah im loving the new features that are included in the combinator and the time stretch feature is on point and its so simple and quick.

I am glad you enjoy. As you know I am a time stretch fan, :)with you saying that puts me at ease, I can't wait.

id rather have to use a dongle than having to make sure i always have my disks on me because reason randomly asks for it. the internet verification is annoying as hell though

Well, the idea is that, to use the proper sequencer. But you can also use the CVs of the Redrum so you'll still have a step sequencer. And yeah, there's more routing possibilities the way they have it now. You can even use it as an effect module. And just adding a step sequencer inside would just make a mess if used as an effect module. So I think it's wiser(for me) if it's like that.

do people really use step sequencers like that? i find more freedom in playing my stuff by hand its funner too

THOR + MPC = KONG!

That is one dope piece, I am loving how you can put different pieces in it to design your drums YOUR WAY!

this reaally could turn me back into a reason user, a paying one at that lol
