I was a reason 3 and reason 4 user
I always wanted a reason 5, but now seeing the new features on the website, it does not spark my interests anymore

I stopped using reason 4 awhile, got busy with my web designing, but when I went back to it I wanted a change, wanted to start using more vst's..

but everytime they release a new software or an update, I am always curious..
I am curious about fl studio 10 when ever that comes out

It is a great program. It is the sequencer I used for a long time. It is the reason I jumped off hardware altogether. I started sequencing virtual software in Sonar 3 (hated Sonar's sequencer back then) from my MV-8000, and once I discovered Project5, I ditched all my hardware.

Orion is another great software sequencer no one talks about.

Ok, cool, if it worked for you then you were blessed.

Orion, if no one talks about it, how can it be so great? Just asking.

I see that you have went through tons of things that I don't even know exist, I am a more what does a stage has and get the best qualified stuff and be content than to siff through tons of software and hardware.

this sounds interesting, I think this could bring a whole new level of fun to reason, especially if the integration with the MPD/MPK is better. I wonder if they added more midi controllable parameters in reason 5 now.

there more midi controllabe parameters.

they did add some maschine functions too...

they really did a nice job for the update...

I was thinking of buying it myself..

i dont based my opinions on popular opinion on fp. Half these cats on fp don't even use there equipment to the fullest. Lets be real dog. I never once said anything about hip hop as far as sequencing. I hope you don't think i make just hip hop because you assume then your sadly mistaking brother. And yes i've used project 5 and i didn't not like so i can make a valid opinion on something that i've used.

You are right about people not using what they have.

I know, I said hip-hop. If you had said it was favored by hip-hop producers, then you would have gotten no comment from me. But industry wide, it has never been considered the "best" or most favored sequencer.

I don't know what music you make. Give us a link. I'm always checking for new music.

What did you not like about Project5's sequencer?

^^^^^^^ he still believes in p5. hahahahaha. anyway lets get back to reason and record what this thread is about all those other products can get discussed in another thread.

Sure I do. I don't use it, but I am not going to trash something that is a good product. People still believe in a lot of old stuff whether software or hardware.

I make no distinction between old hardware or old software when it comes to samplers/sequencers. They are all software at the end of the day the sequence music information.

So, back on topic:

So far the biggest new features have to be the Doc Oc and the Neptune. If any body is interested, I heard through the grapevine that the song in the Neptune video will be a demo song in Record 1.5. I like that track.

I review that kind of stuff. I like sifting through it.

I went through tons of hardware too. I've hung out or interviewed tons of people over the years and visited various studios big and small, and I have always been amazed at many of the set-ups people used and preferred to make what they make.

one of the many reasons why i still stick with reason/record and all of propellerhead products. because all those other companies don't do beta test on a large scale to catch all the bugs before releasing the upgrade or product.

True that bro!

Yo guess what happened, I putin 8.03 that was suppose to be rock solid Digi PT, man that ish wouldn't even let Record or Reason open. I was like wtf!!! I didn't know what to do. Yo man, so I asked on the forums, dude told me " 8.0.3 has a bad glich and DIGI KNOWS IT! You might wanna roll back." So I am like wtf, is there some type of conspiracy going on with Digi and Props? I aint never known it to glich like that and I been with PT since 6.4. That Core Audio was umpf up and I think they did that ish on purpose, next thing I know that joint shut my computer down. That's why I aint moving to upgrade to no more Digi PT! Ima stay at 8.0.1. they along with being compatable with my new Mac kept me outta commission for three dam months! Never again. I am sick of Digi and their closed off crap. that's why I wanna do my music in Record and don't have to open Pt at all!!! Now we are able to :)

Yo if you get the chance see how long that sucka can sample if that joint can sample for a long time then people can do vocals up in Reason now lol

the presentations/videos of the Record/Reason combo are great...

i think if you do not have it you are missing out on something..

if nnxt has input sampling like the video indicates it will offically be a ASR 10 replication
I sold my asr 10 for nnxt. So this will be offical
They showed NN19 can record and mention we can now create NNXT patches with loop points
That means we can sample external gear or vsti and replicate them and create refills this night be the best option for getting vsti sounds in reason
When I has my mpc I Sampled into the mpc and played the melodys as Samples

I imagine it can. Computer Music magazine once talked about how you could actually master a song in Reason. They took a 3 or 4 minute .wav file and put the whole song into NNXT and just triggered it with one long midi note. Then they ran it through the M Class suite and made it sound real nice.
