i get my info from knowledge + experience.

You get yours from popular opinion at www.futureproducers.com.

I did recall saying that the mpc has been hailed by rap producers...but i also said it was not the most favored sequencer by the industry as a whole. Did you know a lot of people sequenced their hardware from commodore 64's?

Have you ever used project5 and compared it to other sequencers?

i dont based my opinions on popular opinion on fp. Half these cats on fp don't even use there equipment to the fullest. Lets be real dog. I never once said anything about hip hop as far as sequencing. I hope you don't think i make just hip hop because you assume then your sadly mistaking brother. And yes i've used project 5 and i didn't not like so i can make a valid opinion on something that i've used.

out of respect for you Focused...

you wish is my command...

the Reason/Record combo is what it is...

another nice tool to have...

whatever features that they add it still boils down to who is at the controls...

Thank you bro.

I Agree with you Exactly, it still is a matter of who is using it.

say what you want...

but if you used vsti and had a choice between reason and project 5 which one would you pick?

8 or 16 core mac pro with 16 gb crashes?

Yeppers, mine did, dude to the fact those bastards at Digidesign and their eff up of their glichy arse software didn't take well to 10.6.2 snowleopard. That's why I rolled back to 8.01 from 8.0.3, and to Leopard 10.5.6. That ish crashed my computer I had to take it to Apple down town and was out of computer use for a week, but I still had my trust MPC and was still rocking. I love Apple though they open 24/7. Just because you have lots of cores don't mean it won't crash. Glitches and Buggs are just that and will shut your ish down!

 Yo you seen a 16 core Mac?

one of the many reasons why i still stick with reason/record and all of propellerhead products. because all those other companies don't do beta test on a large scale to catch all the bugs before releasing the upgrade or product.

Come on Trusty, let it go man. Let it go!!!!

P5's funeral!

LOL

Curious that you avoided the first part of my post...which you dared not dispute because you knew I was right. ;)

And you also know better than to call it an Ableton clone. It was a different beast altogether, the Groove Matrix wasn't added until v2, but you knew that as well...

I can't imagine what I would do with 16 cores. I guess I could get a job with IL & M and work for George Lucas!!!

16 cores!?!?!?!?!!?

That's crazy!!!:)

No. I avoided it because I refuse to debate anything at all about P5. I went to Catholic school for 11 years and they taught me to respect the dead so that's what I'm doing. So why don't we do this:

Let's have a moment of silence.............................

May P5 rest in peace!

KB my man, stop bating...

i promised to be cool!!!

That's your opinion, and your entitled to it. I would personally take Reason's or Live's sequencers over the old MPC's because they both have groove extraction.
what i find great about this new sampling feature is that i was wrnog my boy is showing me screen shots he sampled into reason duplicated the sample asr10 style then chopped each sample. and then loaded each into the sampler. Ill take this and blocks over a mpc any day of week. Hell this style of sampling being absent from Reason was a big part of why I went hardware a few years ago

^^^^^^^ he still believes in p5. hahahahaha. anyway lets get back to reason and record what this thread is about all those other products can get discussed in another thread.

this sounds interesting, I think this could bring a whole new level of fun to reason, especially if the integration with the MPD/MPK is better. I wonder if they added more midi controllable parameters in reason 5 now.
