My 3000 was $3000 new. I couldn't get a deal either. At the time, no one had them in stock. I had to wait a few weeks to get one.

I feel all privleged to be up on things. I just like watching the video's they put out every day. If it weren't for NDA i'd put it all out there.

Live Sampling. Yippeeeee

---------- Post added at 02:21 PM ---------- Previous post was at 02:18 PM ----------

No sign of chopping samples then
nope but if u know how to chop on the nnxt youre in good shape this is one of my favorite upgrades

By this you mean time stretch?
Also wanted to know in this new version is able to import mp3?

there is a time stretch feature in record 1.0 and propellerheads shoudl nver import mp3's imo. why import low quality sounds when trying to make professional music.

Sampling in Reason is cool :) I think I will purchase a couple os shakers and percussion joints from Sam Ash they are pretty cheap on those, and Use my Neumann Mike to record them when I am rocking a track. If guys were talking about this to get rid of my MPC, NOT!

I don't do a whole lot of sampling, I sample myself so...........

I just thought of something if you can sample into Reason using a mic on instruments can you do vocals too? LOL I mean it depends on how long it lets you sample for? So there is recording after all in Record now,. hmmmmmmmmmmm It will just be in the sampler?

he will get you to sell your mpc

Thank God they are. I love my MPD 32 and my APC 40.

Of course I know your Joking me too :) I have the MPC and MPK 88 so I am all caught up. I wouldn't argue if the MPC is old, of course it is, and I dam sure ain't going to argue what I have in MY studio that will help ME do my thing.

u can chop too i didnt think u could damn those who dont sample or let me try to

There's nothing on this planet sequencer better than the MPC, I don't care if it's live, Protools, Logic NOTHING! That's my main concern and being I have that mastered I am sticking to it.

I'm not going all software, that's not for me, and I am not going to count on MPD, or MPK controller totally, that's for software based music apps.

DAMN!!!!

and that was when $3000 was $3000...

yes, they would have to bury me with my mpc3000...

A little over a year before that, I bought the ASR 10. That was $2000 back in 93/94. I bought the MPC in 95/96. I don't even think the 2000's were actually out in 95/96. They didn't come out until 97.

So, back in the 90's a sampling keyboard and a sampling drum machine would cost you about $5000. I had those two pieces, a Korg 01R/W, and a Peavey Bass. I also had some 1200's.

No he won't, lol while yall keep saying that watch my MPC stay right where it is lol hahahah I have told yall over five times why I would keep My MPC, I say what goes down for my studio! now back to Reason and Record! lol:victory:

Heck I wanna see what's the next hot joint, I don't wanna talk about the MPC in this post, it's a done deal with me and mines :)

What could they possibly put? Where are the new EFX modules? I would love to see a dedicated 7 band EQ but not for tomorrow, something big they need to show tomorrow. That Neptune got me up in arms and excited, whewwwwwwwww! I can set up my Neumann Mic into my Avalon and record into Record and KILL IT!

That's your opinion, and your entitled to it. I would personally take Reason's or Live's sequencers over the old MPC's because they both have groove extraction.

I'm telling you, MPC will no longer be necessary. Im'a sell mine.
