So on the contrary, does that mean Cash Money is not afraid of messing up relationships, since the 'game' is over-saturated with producers anyway and they'll always find a beat for a few thousands?

Young producers will have the mindset of "f*ck the money, I'll get exposure", and that's how those things keep running.

Exactly. Everybody wants in. They figure if they get that hit with Cash and Young Money then other artist will start callin!

But the thing is young artists didnt really create these hits....Jim Jonsin and deezle came up with Wayne's first #1

Mannie fresh put out alotta hits

Play N Skillz got em a hit

Bangladesh got them a hit.

Its not like minor league producers are coming up with these hits.... Dey keep screwing over producers they gonna end up in 2001-2005 cash money again

At the same time, all these people grew up in places where it's common for people to do business in a selfish win-lose way, why should anyone expect that it's going to change once they enter the real business world?

spoke to a former lil wayne bodyguard a while back who said wayne underpaid and owed him 4k. no lie, soo i guess this is jus the way wayne n them roll across the board.they just dont shyt on producers

I would think the bodyguard is the last person you would want to underpay...

"Hmm...that character over there looks a lil shady."
"Hmm...I think that might be a gun."
"OH SHIT IT'S A GUN!"
"Wait....this nigga owes me money"
*steps aside*
*BLAM*
"Oh sorry Wayne...didn't see him.."
"Wayne?"
"Wayne?"
"F*ck that nicca"

That's serious. But is it really Wayne's problem?

Legally, is he responsible for royalties?

No, this isn't Wayne's problem and he personally is not responsible for royalties.

The admin people at Cash Money should have given the producer contracts and invoices to Universal to handle.

Anybody that's ever gotten a check from a major label knows how long it takes for them to cut a check, especially a backend payment.
