As much as I love Sampletank (I recently got my hands on the full version of Kontakt and I still use Sampletank over it which many will say is odd) I don't care for it with drum samples. I think Drum Machines reign supreme there but for being a great easy to use workstation I really like Sampletank a lot. Can't wait for Sampletank 3
 
Understood, I still try to go back to hard ware with various MPCs and such, but everytime in the box is always quicker and easier. Not to mention cheaper! lol

I love the price of ITB gear and I am trying to hard to like Reaper because its like $40 for a license lol
 
Man I must have the most comfortable setup outta all those ive seen here, Just got my new MPC 2000xl right on my big temperpedic memory foam king size bed i got at a flea market for like 200, and i just wake up roll over and get to work... Dont even gotta get up or go anywhere, just gotta wake up turn around and im good. Turntable right beside the bed everything in reach. I dont got any "official monitors" just some 12" loudspeakers, but they do the job, not for mixing, just for banging out some beats. I guess im lazy haha but i dont give a **** it works for me.

I'm super jealous of those Genelec's, krushing! I was looking at getting some myself but it would've eaten up all my school refund money lol...

it's not that hard imo lol. Vst support, midi support, great recording interface. idk what there's not to like, then again i'm not a daw king expert

12" Loudspeakers are great for mixing. Especially when you're powering them with a Pro Amp. You just want something decent for referencing(even headphones can make a good reference)until you get used to them and make sure you give yourself some space between the monitors and your ears for the sound to spread out accurately.

You've more than likely got better freq range and clarity than anyone is getting out of 'budget powered monitors"(anything on the market under $500 a pair retail).

Its not about it being easy or hard its about me actually enjoying using it. I just don't enjoy using it but its a full featured DAW just more of my preference.
 
So it has been brought it to my attention that leaving an MPC on the bed isnt the greastest idea especially the 2000xl cuz the vents are on the bottom and ive noticed dubris gets on it from being next to the floor so heres what i did with it....

yea i love them 12's ive had them for about 5 years handed down from my dad so ive listened to alot of music on them over the years so it shouldnt be to hard to mix on them... i know what good music sounds like on them so i just gotta make my music sound like that... using my fav songs as a refernence to what my music should sort of sound like...

I love this simple set up with dual screens. Is that another interface on the bottom left?

It's Korg Monotron. I borrowed it from a friend and i have some troubles to get in flstudio mixer, so i can play it trough some vst's? Anyone got any advice on that?

I use it with the maschine software and with flstudio. Maschine software is pretty good, nothing bad to say about it in this point.

Don't sweat it. Your English is better than most Americans. How is the workflow with FL Studio and Maschine? I would be using it with Ableton Live.
