My studio is on my wing within the prison i am an officer in, i use it to help guys learn about studio work and keep them out of trouble. i also hope in the future to be able to give young trouble makers that are one step away from prison, tours of what its really like before a session in my studio

Oh ok. That's excellent! I teach middle school so I always have kids that are interested in learning. I love hearing that our craft can be used for something worthwhile other than trying to get paid.

its rewarding but i am not a producer or have any music knowledge, im just good at managing things, i have learnt alot though and can put together a sweet beat now

something slight since my last post

theres nothing wrong in being proud to be a soldier. although, i dont agree with alot (or just about all) of the decisions our government has made in recent years, i think we should all be supporting our troops. what makes me sick to my stomach is thinking back on how the american citizens spit on our troops when they came back from vietnam. and if all of our troops just thought of what they do as "a job" then so many more of them wouldnt make it back from war. Not to mention, im sure quite a few of the people that hated on this comment is either A: a gangster rapper or B: somebody who profits from gangster rappers, that talk about killing people, degrading women and etc.... which i see as kind of hypocritical. by the way, how can you not be proud of this pic, he found the only patch of grass in iraq. If you found bigfoot im sure you would post it here...lol

Seeing how this thread is over 300 pages, you might want to name the person you are typing to.

Very nice setup man! Is this at your home, or do you rent a space?

Sorry I took so long to respond but I been busy.
Thank you. My studio is in my house.

[/COLOR]@Saturatedskillz, Holy crap I have the same monitors that you have mounted in the corners of your studio (the beige ones). Damn, I thought I was the only one in the universe. haha

Are you talking about the EP-115's in my pic? I actually had those laying around and I had Focal drivers so I mounted the Focals inside those. I used the amps inside the speakers because they are 115 watts and I gotta tell you, with the focal drivers they sound AMAZING. I only use them for surround work and sometimes when I am mixing I turn around and a/b my mix to my mains and then the EP's to hear how much different my mix sounds on the different monitors.

I actually wanna build my own wooden cabinets for them instead of the plastic ones.

Major upgrades coming this year, but for now it's plenty to work with. Simple and clean. I have a nice rolling stand for the APC, but it's pulling laptop duty in the living room for now.
