c'mon man, are you really that dumb?

He said heres a pic of him havin fun:
Standin in front of a destroyed building in irak, which assumes killin and destroyin in irak = fun.

War is no joke, and far from fun.

100 people die everyday in irak, my friends family are dyin everyday in irak, that is far from fun.

Thumbs down big time

agree on a personal level...not fun to have your family not come home

here's my dingy lookin basement, where experimentation takes place and occasionally sound good. i just cleaned it and reorganized it, i think it's looking rather spiffy.

i suppose a list would be cool

Laptop (dell inspiron something..)
korg padkontrol
krk 5s
sp 404
microkorg
turntable
tape deck from salivation army.
oh and a gameboy with nanoloop

oh and a bunch of records underneath

You use the tape deck? I had one that I ran drums through on occasion but I brokeded it.

^^yeah, i haven't used it in forever though, it's kind of tedious cus i'm short on cables so i'm unplugging and repllugging, and then you gotta make sure it's not clipping too hard and all that. it can be worth it though, it adds a nice heaviness.

you should check out thrift stores and stuff, that's where i got mine for real cheap.

smh @ me. lookin at all these people with just a pc and a midi keyboard and making great stuff, lol. i think i've become one of those gear heads

Yeah i got mine from the salvation army store.

I'm always breaking ****, I used an adapter with the wrong voltage on my turntable and it died... sigh..

oh, that's no good, lol. finding adapters suck, i hate it when companies don't include them. ahem, padkontrol.

My bad pictures were erased by accident here they go.

An the HD 280 are good to me. Bass is alright but the high's and mids are excellent. Perfect for recording and light light mixing.

I had a pair of hd280s i dig em but prefer monitors so much more. I kept mine for about 3 years before i let them go.

Heres what I'm working with at the moment.
studio.jpg

Mpc 1000
Toshiba Satellite
My dads old Technics turntable
$40 Surround sound system (works for now)
And a small(but growing) box of vinyl

Its not much, but it gets the job done. I'm hoping to add an alesis micron soon though.

Thats a nice setup man! Most classics from the golden years up to recently have been made on set ups just like that!

thats pretty much how my set up looks like now but without the mpc, but soon to be adding an akia mpd 24. and getting a bigger monitor to hook the laptop up to.

Here's a couple of updates.

Finally got my dual monitor setup going on. 23". Very useful!

And directly behind me are the Auralex Wedgies.
