Why are you guys always so negative? Let him know that it's nt a good idea to put it there. Earlier in this post, somebody saw pictures of my setup and suggested that I move my monitors, but he wasn't like, "Eww your monitor positioning is so tacky." First of all you sound like a 16 year old high school girl (and for all I know you might be). Second, why can't you just suggest to him that it may not be a good idea? Why do you have to be a jerk about it? Seriously. Answer that question. I dunno, at this point I am starting to believe you can't be a producer without being a giant gaping a**hole.

I agree, there are some people here at FP that always try to question others setup's, "Why do you have that, or Why would you do something like that"? Like they always know what is best and what will work best for you when they don't even know who the F you are or what you do, thus they can not know what pieces you will benefit from, but that certainly does not stop them from running their f
in mouths!

r u his mommy now? trying to protect him from the mean bad guys who say things he may not like. Sorry yo the world ain't all peaches and cream. I ain't gonna bite my tongue because it might hurt a niggas feelings if its the truth. I am not being an ******* by saying that it looks tacky because it does look tacky not to mention that it adds low end rumble which will fu*k up the mix on his bass. Either way what do my comments have to do with you?

In all fairness, you actually were not a jerk but Xabiton used the phrases, "looks tacky," and, "wtf is wrong with you." That's pretty rude. Awkward and unstable speaks to functionality. Xabiton just drilled the guy. If he doesn't know then those who do know should teach him, not chide him for not knowing.
dj x man has been on fp for a long time. i am assuming at this point he should know better.

Well I didn't mean to cause such an uproar. The picture is simply for reference. I just moved into my brand new house, so its not set up completely as it should...Could you imagine me really beatin on the MPC standing up like that? I like my 49 cuz it fits on the desk better than the Triton, but I have a two stand rack that it goes on. I do need a better desk but for now it does what it needs to do.

Peace!

It adds low end rumble to what exactly? The MPC or the CD player? lol
I thought that after all the years being a member here you should know it better aswell. :p ;)

when its sitting on top of the speaker and u r listening yes. dont believe me sit a 10 pound box on a speaker and pretend like u dont hear more bass.

I might be nitpicking here, but doing something like placing huge & heavy stuff on top, nearby, behind or in front of your speakers does rather change the acoustics per se (attenuating or lowering certain frequencies) rather than 'adding low end rumble'.

i did it for years not knowing better which is how i know. the speakers r going to viberate and change what u hear on the low end i dont know the technical **** about it but when i got my auralex pads i heard the difference right away

i got some of that
