@ Coop7ca; were you on some random home decorating show? I know that question is off the wall, but I swear I saw a kid that looks just like you with that exact setup on TV somewhere.

Anyway, you seem to have your head on hella straight for someone so blessed at that age. Keep striving and always remember that the way your music sounds should be your only worry, you'll def make it places.

Yea cubase crashed on me too much which is why i stopped using it. i went to acid and the midi in acid is wack as hell so i went to sonar and never looked back

ha! looks like we had similar experiences, the opposite software (i used live in between cubase and sonar and found the midi functions longwinded!).

Lol that last view is viscious. Makes you seem like its a superheroes hideout or sumtin. How do you like recording on a digital recorder I assume? Do you wish you had the ability to view you stuff when you edit or thelack of computer doesn't really matter.

Nice setup anyway.

I am like him. Although not as high end, I prefer digital recording. I think some people are visual workers and some are audial workers.

Wow Yeah I Did This Show Called Sleep On It On HGTV

It Will Be On Again The 27th If You Guys Want To Watch It.

That's Funny I Been Hearing About That All Week.

I Haven't Even Seen It Yet.

Can you give me the details of your setup because I think my creative style is closer to yours. A lot of people have been telling me to get all these DAW's but I work better with noe software but I still need to build my studio and I think you have a good model for my style. Thanks.

P.S. I am getting some funky hissing feedback off my turntable. It's a Gemini XL 400 II Manual Belt Drive.

Also. can you scratch with a belt drive?

i got the vs 1680 (multitrack) cuz i hate working on comps too, gives me a head ache in an hour. I got the 1680 for several reasons which made it exactly what i am looking for, 20 bit recording clean but not ultra clean which to me some times losses a little charter, with the latest software you can mix, and if you get vfx-3 card really master (which i got that) and u can bounce it str8 to a cd (wish i had the burner), it has a big enough screen for me to work comfortable all day and the unit cost me $300 shipped. i set up my whole dig for 2,500 getting every pice on ebay. on the tt i would stay away from gemini all together, if u can find it i would recommend what i have stanton str8-100 derict drive, they dont make them any more so they are really cheap now that i think about it those are the only pieces i didnt get off ebay, there from pssl i got the bout new for $300 when there msrp was 400 a pice. scratching on a belt drive mabe a few times then it will break, hissing noise could be cables, gemini, or ur power if its un filtered. once i got the furman pl-8 it changed my whole setup i could get decent volumes with no hiss or extra pree ( just as i bought the art pre) that was another ebay score for $108 msrp is at-least double if not more. so my biggest advice to some one starting a studio is get you gear on ebay, get it insured ( i had a few pieces of bust gear but with insurance it didnt matter) and ship fedex cuz every one else gives there **** they cant handle off to them any way so you have the least chance of a lost package (especially for that vintage gear)and they are most responsible with tracking because of the same reason they have you package and there not sourcing to some one else till delivery.

thanks for checkin my studio, hope i helped you out feel free to hit me up with more questions, i know where ur comming from when i was setting this up i felt like the last guy with a multitrack. i dont know if u have herd of ir but studio-central.com has a small multitrack topic, its worth checkin.

peace,
swift
