New KRK monitors, Focusrite Saffire audio interface, Motif ES8, stands, dual channel 30 band EQ for power amp (for loudspeakers, amp/EQ out of the picture), and Ableton... still need a better controller for Reason, but this will get me started. Going to need to rearrange for better sound, but I just got everything working together and need to get working on learning more about the Motif.

damn i wish i had a room that big. And why dont you just use the motif to control reason? And also, your speakers are a little too close to the wall, but that room is gigantic.

Yeah, I need to back the monitors out. It's not in a great spot for acoustics. When I get a bit further down the road on tracks I'll work on acoustics for the room. I would use the Motif as a remote, but you can really only use the keyboard function and I want a controller with a good template for Reason -- to be able and operate the instruments' knobs and everything from hardware... I really don't like using the software to edit sounds on the fly. Thinking about a Novation and I'll be set for awhile after that.

Thanks!

You could always, use the motif as a remote, and then get a control surface, like this one, for 200 bucks

I dont think they realize that a nicely produced informative video is much better than all that random stuff. It's just like when you click on someone's myspace page and they have 3-4 slideshows, falling letters, videos playing on top of the music that is trying to play.....just way too much sh*t
pretty much

It's all good. I wouldn't have said nothing if I hadn't seen your set up on another sight.....without the Triton Extreme.....but the same boombox speakers!!!!! That could have been some Mackie or DynAudio joints. Prioritize. I see a whole lot of equiptment.....but wait......I can't hear any beats!?!?! Show us what you got.....besides equiptment.

So people, is that a good setup for a booth? out of wood with acoustic foam on the inside

Ok, I went out and installed a new light that you can leave on for 10 hours and it is still cool to the touch.... I also added a new door to it. since adding the door, i can have my tv on full blast and only hear a little bit of it when the door is closed... what yall think?
