I'm currently working on a desk design that has a center piece that has a front end, near the user with a monitor stand that connects to the rear of the center unit. Leaving about 10inches of Vertical space between the desk and the monitor and speaker stand.
Hear me out on this one. Directly under the monitor stand is a rollout dj stand. It will house two TTs and a mixer. When pulled out it covers the open portion of the center desk and locks securely in place to ensure confidence when mixing/scratching...whatever. Under the center desk is a rollout 88-key keyboard module connected to the center desk. This module can be height and angle adjusted on the fly to accomodate different preferences.
On each side of the center desk is a angle console with rackmount space available under the top surface. These modules will also have stands to accomodate additional flat panel displays or monitor speakers.
To keep vibration from being a factor during recording...each unit has rubber feet across for points of each module.
Pretty cool huh??? Can wait to finish it's design and make it a reality.
