Hello all, please bare with me- I just recieved my ASR 10 yesterday. Ive been reading the manual steadily front to back- anyways... When I load up my ASR 10, I have to have one of my two zip drives with the OS boot disk in it. It checks for SCSI devices and starts up. Occationally it will say Error 011 or something like that (But I assume thats when I fail to have the OS boot in). When I first got the unit and plugged it in, I casually guessed my way to loading a few instruments, but now I cant seem to do it again! It loads, and then it just flashes *please insert disk*....Also, None of the buttons are funcional while flashing this message. I know they work b/c I used them before... And so you know the floppy drive doesnt work on this unit, but i have a daisy chain of two Iomega Zips 5 & 6 going to a CD drive. Thanks for any help- Trying to keep patient~

I searched this and couldnt find anything~

every time u boot up the os disk must be in the zip drive

turn the zip on first let it read the disk then turn on the asr 10

Try having the boot disk in the first drive in your chain{scsi id 5}and make sure you have enabled scsi termination on the last drive in the chain.

ah I figured it out... just needed to unplug and re plug in the scsi and switch the terminate Thanks~

Cool
glad you,ve got it sorted.
