Please assist. Every time I create automation clips in FL 11 they don't work

For some reason whenever I generate an automation clip it appears where I want it to but it doesn't do anything the pattern plays normally without any effect from the automation clips.

some automation affects actually change the sound when the thing is all the way down.some of them work when the slope is up.
 
do make sure that the automation channel (in step sequencer) is set to on. Coz sometimes we forget about it after doing a solo instrument and then turning all channels ON manually.
 
I can only think of 3 possible reasons...

1) Make sure they're actually on like HardMack said.

2) Double check the thing you want to automate and see if it is actually linked to the automation clip.

3) Double check for duplicate automation clips. Things get screwy when you have duplicate clips trying to automate the same thing.
 
After you program your automation check and see if it's on in the song window too. If the track is muted no automation will play.
 
Even check that you have not deactivated or muted the automation pattern in view playlist where you write your patterns.
