i just got a bbe phono preamp. the fjb-200 model and i connected everything as im supposed to and i get alot of buzz. if i put the ground wire so that it touches the rca cable metel, the hum stopes. does anyone know what the problem is? i have read that other people have had problems with hum on this preamp.

I think you answered your own question. You still need to ground your turntable to something.
i bought the preamp so i have something to ground my turntable on cuz i never had anything that worked. i got this cuz its supposed to fix my problems,but this didnt do anything to help.I think you answered your own question. You still need to ground your turntable to something.
